Your Bride Guide to “Must-Have” Getting Ready Photos

Here are some secrets I am dying to share with you! The hours leading up to your ceremony are special and deserve to be documented. I want to make sure you know how to get awesome photos on your wedding day with these tips. After all your wedding day only happens once! Let me help you get the BEST bridal prep shots.

1. Matching PJs & Gowns

Glamorous bride tribes are the BEST EVER. But why? When colours coordinate it is the dream for good aesthetics. When they clash it can make for cheap imagery. Your girlies will feel part of the tribe in their luxurious robes, they will also look awesome! Plus your Mum is gonna LOVE it so much. I think you’ll agree with me that these gals are stylish goddesses. Once you’ve read the tips, check out some of these sites later to see what you can get your hands on. Asda, Etsy, Asos & Boohoo.

2. Classy Hangers

If you purchase bespoke, hand painted, wooden hangers with a design that links in with your stationary or theme, it will look amazing. All the little details will create beautiful imagery. Etsy or Through Creation Design (local to NI) will be able to help you out if you don’t fancy making your own.

3. Stationary Shots

An invite is the first thing that introduces your wedding day to guests. Gather and store away duplicates (x2) of your invites, envelopes, RSVPs, Order of Service and evening invites into a little box. This way your photographer can layout your gorgeous designs to photograph them while you get papmered. It tells the story of your colours, venue and style of your day. Is is just me or are invites a little teaser and almost a guessing game for your guests?

4. The Magical, Daddy Daughter First Look

Even from across a room you will impress your dad. I love the concept of first looks. It’s also such a good idea for couples too, it’s a highly emotional moment that’s created. I’ve seen this done with father of the bride, mother or with bridesmaids.

5. Have a Ball!

Chill out, relax and don’t worry about anyone else. You’ll be radiant and care free in your photos if you truly feel that way. When you are enjoying every minute, it can be seen. Show that glow!
