Choose Northern Ireland for your Irish Elopement
Eloping to Ireland is an adventure in itself. If you’re an international couple, I know you’ll enjoy visiting Northern Ireland. Who wouldn’t love to have a cliff side ceremony with an incredible view of the coast and Dunluce Castle ruins.
If you’re thinking about coming to NI for your elopement, it’s good to plan you wedding around the best lighting times of the day. Having a ceremony before sunset allows for some golden hour images. The grass is always green all year around and when the sky isn’t overcast we have the best golden sunsets or sunrises.
This couple planned an outdoor woodland ceremony with their nearest and dearest, having coverage from getting ready to drinks at the pub. Then they explored the coastal route the next day at Dunluce Castle and Dunseverick Castle Ruins with me.
You can elope anytime of the year in Northern Ireland. We always have green grass, and amazing views all year round. Even in the summer you could wear a dress with sleeves. In the spring and summer we also have moody days, where the sea mist adds to the images. Even if there is incredible wind, warm sunsets or moody weather, your experience and photos will be unique.
Elope to Dunluce Castle Ruins in October or Autumn
The castle ruins are easily accessed, it’s a short walk from the road and the field is fun to stroll across as the breeze hits you from the sea. The castle is an incredible backdrop for your vows or portraits with each other. The medieval castle ruins, are located outside of Portrush town and sit above a basalt column, very near to the Giants Causeway. You can wonder inside the castle it’s self.
