A Northern Ireland Engagement | Lauren + Chris

Expansive fields, flowing streams, and green rock formations – if we didn’t know any better, we’d think this Northern Ireland engagement session was shot in summer! There is nothing better than documenting love. I adore capturing those fleeting moments between couples. Being at the Causeway Coastal Route, it’s awe inspiring.

How long after you get engaged should you take engagement pictures?

It’s nice to have them taken within the first 1-2 months while the excitement is there, but some people wait until they book their wedding venue and photographer too. You can use them before the wedding and get comfortable in front of the camera. It’s romantic yet casual. I like to capture connection and love.

Sometimes in Northern Ireland the sun makes a short appearance out of those overcast clouds, and when it does, Oh BABY it’s ‘top class!’ The coast is the perfect setting for a relaxed shoot, it means you can focus on spending time together and having a real laugh. I think I captured these guys beautifully, I hope you enjoy the sunset and blue hour images to follow. I love Ballintoy Harbour, Northern Ireland.
