The floral design was modern and naturalistic—think delicate daisies and lush roses arranged to feel organic yet utterly refined. The dining hall was a feast for the eyes: each table overflowing with blooms, golden candlesticks flickering with real candlelight, and fine touches that elevated the space into a true luxury experience. This wasn’t just décor—it was atmosphere.

In the Orangery Conservatory, a harpist played as guests sipped afternoon drinks. The conservatory doors opened out onto the walled garden, creating the dreamiest blend of indoors and out. Aperol spritzes with generous slices of orange added a fresh, vibrant vibe that matched the mood perfectly. This couple didn’t miss a detail—and neither did their celebration.

Bridesmaids, Banter, and Candid Moments

One of my favourite parts of the day was capturing the bridal party. The bridesmaids looked absolutely radiant, floating across the grounds like a dream. Meanwhile, the groom and his groomsmen brought all the fun—laughing, joking, and giving us some brilliant walking shots and natural group portraits. That mix of timeless styling with genuine emotion is what I love most as a Northern Ireland Wedding Photographer.

After the group photos in the walled garden, I snuck away with the bride and groom for some quiet portraits at the lake. Nestled under a pink rhododendron with the sun dipping low over the water—it was just breathtaking. We also explored the beautiful white glasshouse, a tucked-away gem on the estate that gave them a moment alone to soak it all in. Those quiet, in-between moments are often the most powerful.

A Wedding Celebration in Every Room

One of the reasons Montalto Estate is such a special place for weddings is how it flows. You don’t just stay in one room—you experience the entire estate. You arrive in the courtyard, full of old-world charm, then move into the conservatory for the drinks reception where guests can mingle inside and out. The dining hall at the Carriage Rooms, for the wedding meal is warm and intimate, filled with candlelight and laughter.
Later in the evening, everyone moves downstairs to the private party space—it’s like uncovering a new secret of the estate with every part of the day. And because it’s all so private and beautifully curated, there’s this relaxed, luxurious energy that allows couples and guests alike to just enjoy the experience.


A Joyful Ending to a Gorgeous Day

When it came time for the speeches and wedding meal, the energy was electric. Napkins were waving, cheers were echoing, and the groomsmen made a grand (and hilarious) entrance before welcoming in the bride and groom. The speeches were moving and genuine, filled with love and gratitude—and as a Luxury Wedding Photographer in Ireland, I find these are the moments that truly stay with you.
The couple were so calm, grounded, and gracious. It was a joy to photograph them—not just because of the stunning setting and the chic styling—but because their connection was so real. That’s what I love to capture: not just how the day looked, but how it felt.
